Beautiful South Afrca

I hear from a few friends complaining again about our country, about what is happening here. Some saying that they want to leave but I don't know.

I was born a South African, a white South African. I lived when the struggle for freedom was almost won. I remember living in Ficksburg and hearing AK-47 gun fire going of in streets. But when I look back I know that was a different time and place. I hear a old man complaining yesterday after church about my 10  months old son having to grow up in country as it is.

What is so bad about that...

Yes we live in dangerous times and being white male everyone thinks you where or are a racits. Well I think people who think like that are like the racists they hate. Hate brings more hate.

I believe in our country... I believe in a future in this country, for me my son and his sons. People will have to sort out there own issues with what is wrong before we get to turning point. But a turning point will come. How long will people stick with incompetent leaders... They will look for better leaders, people all want the same thing. A better life for themselves and children... Our children are the future leaders. Lets start in our own viewpoint and change our minds. For our children's sake.

What our youth face...
Children being raised by grand mothers on social grands

But always willing to learn. Way children are. Maybe we sould learn more

And even trying to better there lives. These children fixed roads for holiday's. Did better job then contractors

People living of only social grands.

Or this... House build for people standing abandoned because have other homes.
Another smart plan done by idiots. Building house for government in flood plain

Beauty out here in Africa

I think this very important to remember in times today. We so easily forget to have FAITH in what God has planned for us and our country. We have to believe.

"So often when things change in our lives, we have such a resistance to the change. This is because when people see a big change appearing they are often fearful that it is something bad. But it is important to remember that when something big changes in our lives, it means something better is coming. When change comes, relax, have total faith, and know that the change is ALL GOOD."

Spitskop and heat

Well it another hot day at spitskop pension. This is my last stop for pensions this month. We have to come to pensions to collect money from people to pay there accounts. Transport for them to get to town is to expencive.

I can see in my clients how hard economic slow down has impacted them. They have less and less income to pay accounts. Most of my clients get goverment pensions of about 1000 south african randa. This is less the 100 us dollars to live of every month. And this month they have to spend most of money to get school things.

Jacob Zuma, president of South Africa has drawn up a plan to help every one and reduce poverty by 2030. Lets hope they have real political will to go through with plan. And hope they can stop corruption within goverment.

We all need plan to work and all are willing to implement it, if only goverment will keep to plan and contracts are give to skilled people and not to friends and family.

Great weekend

Well it the start of another week, and after a wonderful weekend we are ready and happy.

I had to work in Kameelputs, Losasaneng and Gatoate on Saturday but was a short work day. I had to go to my father to borrow his 'bakkie' (what we in south Africa call a pickup truck). So we decided to make a visit out of it. And since 30'C plus in northern cape we also took our swimwear.

We had a great day and my sister also came to visit so the cousins where both also there. Here are some pictures of weekend

What wrong in world today....

I was looking at news in last past days, and wondering what wrong with society.

Has the world gone mad....

If I just take look at news from South Africa i wonder why would a grown man, a father, a uncle, a brother rape a child, sister, daughter. It seems that this is coming more and more as years go by. I am a positive person so i believe that in time society will sort it self out. We as people seem to have had a moral decline and this needs to be fixed.

Goal United progress

Jan Kemp FCC

I like to play a online soccer manager sim called Goal United. My side has won a few titles and find themself in dev 2 for South Africa. We are in dev for 3 time but 1st season we could not keep up with big guns and moved back to dev 3. It took us 2 seasons to move back to dev and almost after 1 season moved back but we won our play-off to stay in dev.

This is a really nice game if you like manager sims. You control every aspect of your sides path to top. And every season gets better and better. To really get to top you need to spend some cash but I want to try and see how far can get without spending to much.

I will also use this blog for my fans to follow how side is doing

How season is going so far.
We are currently ranked 2nd but may change after weekend when side face the strong Mindless Maniacs.

And in National Cup we face a really strong side in Rusta Tigers. We played with them in dev 3 and are good friends with manager. This will be a real test for my side since I have never been able to beat them. We are also playing away from home

I South African rankings we are overall ranked 19th so really proud to have moved up to 19th in just a few seasons

Rietfontein

This is a few pictures I took when I had to work the area around a small village called Rietfontein.

This is a very dry area and in a strange way so beautiful. Hope you enjoy these pictures. Join and follow me on twitter for more pictures.
